Challenger Division

Sport is important to a child's development. It teaches good sportsmanship, self-regulation, increases self-esteem, encourages social skills, improves coordination and healthy bone and muscle development along with strength and endurance. Being part of a team is also important to a child's development by way of inclusivity, bonding, belonging, confidence, experiencing collective success and can also help with future work skills and opportunities.

Challenger Division is an adaptive baseball program for individuals with physical or intellectual challenges, promoting community, inclusivity and an opportunity to succeed for all.

The division accommodates players ages 5-18yrs, or up to age 22 if still enrolled in school.

Flexibility and adaptability are key during Challenger games, involving the use of buddies to assist Challenger athletes in the areas of batting, base running and defence as needed.

If you have any questions regarding this program, please get in touch with the Baseball SA office on (08) 8331 2675.
