Baseball SA would like to take this opportunity to thank Mark Snelgrove, Baseball SA President, for his time, dedication and passion towards baseball in SA, as he tenders his resignation from the Board of Directors.

Mark has served 9 years on the Board of Baseball SA, being appointed to the Board in 2010, moving into the President's role in 2013 as caretaker. Mark has made an oustanding contribution to the sport through his leadership, and his background in marketing and management has resulted in the development of new relationships and opportnities having been formed. Mark was instrumental to the successful upgrade of the West Beach facility, now known as the home of baseball in SA, securing $4m of Government funding in 2014. Mark has ensured that the organisations business model is financially sustainable and leaves the sport in a solid healthy position with good governance practices and procedures in place.

We would like to thank Mark and his wife Glenys for their countless number of volunteer hours put in at the West Beach facility, as we all know our sports would not survive without the dedicated volunteer workforce.

A true asset to the sport, we wish you all the very best for your future and no doubt we will continue to see you around the ballpark.

2020/2021 SEASON

BSA are again aiming this season to keep grade game times constant as much as possible.
The fixtures for seniors will be released next week, and juniors the week after, but in the meantime, here are the game times we're working with.

Friday:
Women's League Division 1 - West Beach games will be at 6:15pm and 8:30pm, club games will start 6:00pm
Women's League Division 2 - 6:00pm

Saturday:
Division 7 Red & Blue - 10:00am
Division 5 & 6 - 12:30pm
Division 4 & Senior League - 3:00pm

Sunday:
Division 3 - 10:00am
Division 2 - 12:30pm
Division 1 - 3:00pm
Pee Wee & Minor League - 9:00am
Little League - 11:00am
Intermediate & Junior League - 1:30pm

AJLC2021

This week, Baseball Australia announced that Adelaide will be hosting the 2020 Australian Junior League Championships , for the fifth time!

We are thrilled to be welcoming this fantastic under 15's tournament back to West Beach!

COACHING ACCREDITATION

Baseball Australia has adopted a nation-wide certification program for all states to implement, improving the consistency of coaching accreditation and standards across Australia.

Their research into coaching programs led them to the USA Baseball Coaches Certification Program. It provides three levels (A, B & C) of online coaching as well as a coaching app that helps design and store all your coaching sessions as well as providing training enhancing ideas.

Coaching level requirements:
Junior coaches - A, B
Charter/State coaches - A, B, C
Div 1 - 3 Senior and Women's coaches - A, B, C
Div 4 - 7 Senior coaches - A, B

Baseball SA are very exciting about being able to offer our coaches a nationally recognised program that will be tracked and has tangible outcomes.
