114th ANNUAL GENERAL MEETING

We advise that the South Australian Baseball League’s 114^th Annual General Meeting (AGM) has been scheduled to be held on Wednesday, 21 July 2021, commencing at 6:30pm at Oceanique, Barcoo Road, West Beach.

This meeting is currently planned to be held in person but is subject to change following current government COVID-19 restrictions at the time of meeting. The league will advise any changes as they become apparent.

All voting members and guests must RSVP in writing to the GM (gm@baseballsa.org.au) prior to close of business 7 days prior to the meeting, being Thursday, 14 July 2021. 

Due to COVID restrictions and requirements RSVPs are mandatory for anyone planning to attend. Those who have not submitted their attendance in writing as per the above will not be granted admittance to the meeting.

Once again, please note that in efforts to decrease expenditure, the Annual Report will be provided as electronic copies, available via the Baseball SA website, with limited printed copies available to life members only.

Final agenda, including any received special business items and board nominations, will be provided in the coming week.

STATE TEAM TRIALS - SAVE THE DATE

With the Australian Youth Championships planned to make a comeback this year, we're excited to get preparations underway for the tournament. South Australia is looking for the best Under 16 and Under 18 baseball talent the state has to offer.

Mark your calendars! Trials for the U16 and U18 South Australian State Teams will be held 28-30 September at West Beach in a new format.

ESPORTS - LAST CALL!

Final call for anyone who wants to get involved with our esports competition!

Last year's competitions were a hit with some competitors having the chance to represent South Australia in a State of Origin series against Baseball NSW.

This year we will be playing on MLB The Show 21 as the new game allows cross-platform play which will open our competition to both PS4/5 and Xbox users.

Early Bird entries now open!
9 – 16 October, 2021

Early Bird entries are now open for Baseball as part of Australia’s best multisport festival – The Australian Masters Games. This week-long festival of sport brings together weekend warriors from around Australia, for an unmissable sport and social program with the beautiful city of Perth as the playground.

With around 50 sports on offer and no qualification criteria aside from meeting the minimum age requirement (which for most sports is 30 years), there really is something for everyone.

2021 is the year for getting back into sport, reconnecting with old friends and making new ones, and discovering more of our backyard.

Let’s get active, social and adventurous together in October!
