We are thrilled that Baseball SA have respresentatives announced as finalists in the 2021 South Australian Sport Awards.

• Rowena Trevaskis (Baseball SA) - Administrator of the Year Finalist
• Leanne Smith (Adelaide Baseball Club) - Volunteer of the Year Finalist
• Riley Yeatman (East Torrens Baseball Club) - Emerging Athelete of the Year Finalist

Riley Yeatman has also been named as a finalist for the 2021 SA School Sport Awards in the Individual Secondary Athlete category.

Congratulations to Rowena, Leanne and Riley and good luck!

SA SHOWCASE SERIES

Baseball South Australia is proud to announce the dates and program format for the Under 16 and Under 18 South Australian Showcase Series in January 2022.

Formatting will be similar to the 2021 Showcase starting with a testing day, followed by daily morning trainings and games each afternoon.

The data driven Showcase will run from 4 - 7 January 2022, continuing on 12 - 13 January from 8am - 5pm daily.

SUPER LEAGUE BASEBALL

What a great first round of the Super League Baseball season, brought to you by Just The Thing Furniture!

Five home runs lifted the Oceanique Northern Marlins to an 11-9 win over the Fresh'n Delicious Southern Seahawks at West Beach on Wednesday night.

Michael Bishop and Sean Maple each homered twice and Jack Stead also went deep as the Marlins improved to 2-1 and left the Seahawks without a win in three attempts.

The Seahawks will take on 2-0 Citadel IT Western Rays next Wednesday (3 November) so make sure you join us online or at the ballpark.

First pitch is slated for 7:15pm.

WOMEN'S ALL-STAR GAME

Baseball SA are excited to announce the Women's All Stars game will be making a return to the main stage after a year hiatus.

The game will be played on Wednesday, 15 December at West Beach, followed by a Men's All Stars game with details to follow!

We would like to introduce our two head coaches for the teams.

One team will be lead by Sturt Women's Division 1 head coach Caroline “Macca” Gardner. Macca played over 400 games of softball for Sturt and has won 2 A Grade Kath Correll medals. It would seem that Macca inherited all of her talent from her family history, being the granddaughter of the esteemed Capps Medallist Fred Catt.

The other All Stars team will be coached by none other than Marlins Super League player and Kensington Division 1 head coach, Austin "Gally" Gallagher. Gally was appointed as head coach of the SA Women’s State Team earlier this year before it was unfortunately cancelled due to COVID.

Registrations are now open until Friday 19th November.

SUPER GIRLS LEAGUE

How have you been going guessing the names of our new Super Girls League Teams?

So far we have welcomed the Chameleons and Axolotls with team three being revealed tomorrow!

The competition will be open to girls between the league ages of 11 – 14 (born between 01/09/2007 – 31/08/2011). This will be a 5 round competition played on Sunday’s and Wednesday’s starting on Sunday 9th January until Sunday 23rd January at West Beach using the Little League Playing Rules and conditions.

CHARTER TRIAL REGISTRATIONS OPEN

If your junior is keen to be involved in this season's charter programs, make sure you jump online and register to trial.

GAMECHANGER LIVE SCORING

We are excited to have many State League Division 1 and Super League games live scored through GameChanger thanks to the South Australian Baseball Scorers Association - SABSA.

We are currently working with SABSA to have the Women's League Division 1 also live scored, however all scores and data will be uploaded post game.
