ANNUAL GENERAL MEETING

A reminder that the 113^th Annual General Meeting is scheduled to be held on Thursday, 30 July 2020, commencing at 6:30pm at Sport SA (Military Road, West Beach).

To ensure COVID-19 venue capacity guidelines are adhered to, we request that anyone planning to attend please RSVP in writing to the GM prior to close of business 7 days prior to the meeting, being Thursday 23 July 2020 (gm@baseballsa.org.au).

All attendees will be required to sign in, wash hands and have temperatures checked upon arrival.

Once again, please note that in efforts to decrease expenditure, the Annual Report will be provided as electronic copies available via the Baseball SA website, with limited printed copies available to life members only.

BASEBALL5

Baseball5 is a fast, fun, 5 v 5, 5-inning 'street' version of baseball, with elements of baseball and handball.

We invite you to join our very first Baseball5 social competition each Friday night in the Diamond Sports (West Beach) Indoor Training Facility over term 3, 2020.

Grab your mates (all players must be 18yrs and over) and register your team today!

Teams must be made up of 5-8 people, with mixed genders (please contact the office for ratios)

The season will be 8 regular games, followed by 2 weeks of finals.

Round one starts Friday, 24 July 2020.

COACHING ACCREDITATION

Baseball Australia has adopted a nation-wide certification program for all states to implement, improving the consistency of coaching accreditation and standards across Australia.

Their research into coaching programs led them to the USA Baseball Coaches Certification Program. It provides three levels (A, B & C) of online coaching as well as a coaching app that helps design and store all your coaching sessions as well as providing training enhancing ideas.

Baseball SA are very exciting about being able to offer our coaches a nationally recognised program that will be tracked and has tangible outcomes.

ESPORTS

With Baseball SA’s second Esports competition off and running, 13 participants are battling it out for more than just the championship but the top 5 players in the competition will face off against the best Baseball NSW has to offer in a 5 game State of Origin clash.
