IN THE BULLPEN

We are excited to be broadcasting our new program In The Bullpen 6pm each Wednesday night, thanks to  Hilltop Office Supplies.

Hosts Eric Balnar and Michael Dunn will be covering everything baseball in South Australia. From State and Women's League, Super League and Adelaide Giants to what is happening at YOUR club!

Each week we want to hear your great stories, your player milestones, your funny moments, your club's upcoming events and of course we want to take the opportunity to celebrate your club volunteers.

Please send any stories, volunteer of the week or blooper submissions to events@baseballsa.org.au by 10am each Tuesday to be included in the weekly program.

We look forward to celebrating our community and our sport with you as we bring you In The Bullpen.

SUPER LEAGUE BASEBALL

We've had a fantastic start to the Super League Baseball season, brought to you by Just The Thing Furniture!

Citadel IT Western Rays held off fast-finishing Fresh'n Delicious Southern Seahawks to start their Super League Baseball Adelaide account with a win on Wednesday night.

The Rays scored the opening nine runs of the game at West Beach before holding on to win 9-7.

Western Rays take on Northern Marlins at 7.15pm next Wednesday in a battle of the two 1-0 teams.

The 0-2 Seahawks will chase a first win against the Marlins on October 27.

SUPER GIRLS LEAGUE

Over the next four weeks we will be unveiling our 4 brand new Super Girls League teams.

Can you guess what our first team is?

It will be revealed on Saturday on our social media channels, so keep an eye out to see if you got it right!

This competition will be open to girls between the league ages of 11 – 14 (born between 01/09/2007 – 31/08/2011). This will be a 5 round competition played on Sunday’s and Wednesday’s starting on Sunday 9th January until Sunday 23rd January at West Beach using the Little League Playing Rules and conditions.

Player registrations open in November.

PLAYER REGISTRATIONS

With the 2021/22 season underway, it's important to ensure you register BEFORE you take the diamond.

Any unregistered players who play will earn their team a 9-0 forfeit.

So make sure you head to your club registration link and register NOW!

Auto-fill is causing some havoc when parents or partners are registering or renewing on behalf of the member. If you use auto-fill for addresses, etc, the member's name is also auto-filled which may not be the name of the person needing to be registered.

If you think this has happened to you please speak to your club as they can edit your membership and change the names.

GAMECHANGER LIVE SCORING

We are excited to have many State League Division 1 and Super League games live scored through GameChanger thanks to the South Australian Baseball Scorers Association - SABSA.

We are currently working with SABSA to have the Women's League Division 1 also live scored, however all scores and data will be uploaded post game.

PEE WEE BASEBALL

Pee Wee League fixture is now up on Baseball SA's website!

Season starts on Sunday 31stOctober. Games are at 9:00am.

Rules and scoresheets are also found on our website.

WEST BEACH INDOOR TRAINING FACILITY

The Indoor Training Facility has had some TLC this week with a professional industrial clean - how good does it look!

A reminder that If you're using the West Beach facility please make sure you clean up after yourself, make sure all rubbish is put in the bins provided and keep our venue looking great.
