SUPER LEAGUE

Following a couple of disappointing rain outs, we had a fantastic night at West Beach this week for round five of the 2020 Super League Baseball season, brought to you by Just The Thing Furniture.

Liam Scott and Carey McLeod produced massive moments to help Southern Seahawks deny the Northern Marlins’ comeback bid and wrap up a Super League Baseball Adelaide doubleheader sweep.

Scott recorded three final-inning outs with the bases loaded to complete a 7-6 victory after McLeod had earlier robbed Austin Gallagher of a grand slam, tumbling over the outfield fence to preserve a two-run lead for the Seahawks.

The Southern Seahawks will face Western Rays in another doubleheader from 6.30pm next week, 28 October.

Both games will be played over five innings with the second matchup to start 15 minutes after the completion of game one.
