School Sport Nationals: U18’s Baseball State Team 2026 Nominations Open

Nominations are now open for the 18 Years & Under Baseball State Team, which will represent South Australia at the 2026 School Sport Australia Championships, to be held in Adelaide.

This program provides a high-level development and competition opportunity for eligible student-athletes, allowing them to test themselves in a national championship environment while representing their state.

Eligibility

To be eligible for selection, students must:

Be enrolled at an affiliated school
Be born in 2008, 2009, 2010, 2011, 2012 or 2013

Championship Details

Venue: Barrett Reserve, West Beach, South Australia
Dates: Sunday 26 April – Saturday 2 May 2026

Trial Information

All trials will be held at West Beach Parks:

Trial 1: Sunday 15 February | 8:00am – 10:00am
Trial 2: Wednesday 18 February | 5:00pm – 8:00pm
Trial 3: Sunday 22 February | 8:00am – 10:00am

Athletes will participate in a range of drills and competitive scenarios, with selectors assessing skill level, game sense, attitude, teamwork, fitness, and overall behaviour both on and off the field.

How to Nominate

Complete the online nomination form : South Australian Government - School Sport SA interstate team nomination form
A $10 (inc. GST) non-refundable trial fee applies
Nominations close: Friday 13 February at 4:00pm

Once nominations are submitted, a confirmation email will be sent to parents and the student’s school. Final selection is subject to school principal endorsement.

Important Information

Selected athletes must attend all team trainings, the team photo shoot, and the full championship program
Parents are advised not to make any travel or financial commitments until school endorsement has been confirmed
Accommodation is not provided, with the championship held locally in Adelaide
