STRUCTURE - OPPORTUNITY - GROWTH
Baseball SA is proud to unveil the 2025/26 South Australian Baseball League (SABL) Competition Booklet—marking the start of a new era of structure, opportunity, and growth across our game.
Thanks to the collaboration between our Competitions Committee, Baseball Committee, and the invaluable feedback from our clubs, this season brings with it thoughtful updates designed to benefit players, clubs, and the wider baseball community in South Australia.

CITADEL.IT STATE LEAGUE DIV 1-6

we will be offering 6 quality divisions (Divisions 1–6) of baseball this season, providing great opportunities for players of all levels to compete.

We’re adding extra games for Division 1 through a mix of Twilight matchups and Saturday Double Header weekends—plenty of prime-time action!

Prior Week 1 / Mid Week - Wild Card - 2×9 Innings at West Beach.

Series 2:
BELGRAVIA APPAREL WOMEN’S LEAGUE DIV 1-3

Women’s Division 1 will continue with games scheduled at West Beach and the potential for exciting night games, in consultation with clubs.
Women’s Division 2 & 3 will continue as-is, with opportunities for scheduled rounds at West Beach to give all players exposure to the showcase venue (also in consultation with clubs).
Division 2 & 3 Finals will remain timed games, as per the regular season. However, games may be moved to West Beach or another suitably lit venue to ensure completion. -
Clubs with three or more women’s teams are encouraged to enter a Division 1 team if they haven’t already, strengthening the top tier of competition.

Division 2 will shift to full-sized diamonds, aligning with higher levels and supporting skill progression across divisions.

YOUTH DIVISIONS

Under 16 & Under 18 competitions are locked in for the season. Under 10, 12 & 14 to return, pending confirmation from Baseball Australia & Little League International.

A separate Charter competition may be introduced during December and January, offering additional gameplay and development opportunities.

Latest Sunday timeslot targeted at 2:00 PM to support families
Division 1 & 2 grades for each age group to support 1st- and 2nd-year players, with geographic groupings as needed.
MONDAY NIGHT MASTERS COMPETITION

We’re expecting the competition to double in size and deliver another fun, inclusive season for our baseball veterans.
Games at West Beach if 8 or fewer teams participate (unless a club opts to host). If more than 8 teams, clubs will be offered hosting opportunities.

Rules adjusted based on feedback and learnings from last season to ensure a smooth and enjoyable competition.
Age limit lowered to 35+, with some restrictions for players under 40 who have played State League Div 1–3 in the last 3 seasons.

Season starts mid-October, earlier than last year to allow for more games
SOCIAL BASEBALL
LEAGUE

This league will take place on Thursday nights, under lights at West Beach!
These modified games will be played on a junior sized diamond.

This is open to all ages and abilities!
Grab a group of mates or your family… because anyone can make a team! Corporate teams are highly encouraged.

This is about growing the game by removing the barriers. It’s about having fun, making connections, and giving people a taste of baseball in a low-stakes, high-enjoyment setting.
