Introduction

Welcome to the 2025 / 2026 Performance Pathways program! Our augmented programs will enhance athlete development and representation at state, national, and international levels.

As part of this next evolution, we are expanding on our Pathway Programs to provide a “Gateway”, “Development” and “Select” program. This will support an even more inclusive environment that accommodates athletes at both various ages & various skill levels within their baseball journey, and to fit with National Representation sides such as World Cups.

Under Performance Pathways, our Gateway Pathway Programs will cater to a full range of athletes typically aged 11-14 to identify and nurture the growth of these young athletes to support their development towards State & other honours. 

Our Development Pathway Programs will be available to athletes typically aged 11-17 that have completed the Gateway program, or have applied out directly for this program and completed various assessments / performance measures. These athletes will be given like for like training as our highest tier program (Select) – yet accommodates those athletes who may not yet be as advanced on their journey.

The Select Pathway Programs take a selected number of athletes typically aged 11-17 who may have completed other BSA Programs, or have been directly selected based on various assessments / performance measures.  This premier BSA program is a more highly geared program that supports these athletes in their development as they pursue State Team opportunities & beyond.

All of our revamped programs will place a stronger emphasis on performance outcomes, supported by advanced technology such as Rapsodo, Blast Motion, Trackman, and other analytical tools. These enhancements will provide players with detailed insights and data to refine their skills and improve their game.

Continuing to lead this high-calibre initiative is Baseball SA Performance Pathways Manager, Austin 'Gally' Gallagher. We have also appointed a Chris ‘Simsy’ Sims into a contract role both coaching & leading the programs administration. Under their guidance, along with our team of top-tier coaches, this will ensure that each athlete receives the best possible training and support to achieve their highest potential.

To fund our programs athletes can expect costs to be approximately $15 per hour. Based on an eight-week program, two hours per session, two sessions per week, investment may be approx. $480. Plus any tournament, travel & accommodation costs.
