TEAM ANNOUNCEMENT 2026 AUSTRALIAN YOUTH CHAMPIONSHIPS

Baseball South Australia is thrilled to announce the Under 16 and Under 18 teams who will represent South Australia at the 2026 Australian Youth Championships this January.

The U16 Championships will take place from 7–13 January 2026, while the U18 Championships will run from 9–15 January 2026 bringing together the best young talent from across the country to compete on the national stage.

Each athlete selected has shown exceptional dedication, skill, and perseverance throughout the selection process and offseason program. From training sessions to long weekends on the field, their commitment to continuous improvement has been inspiring.

Performance Pathway Manager Austin Gallagher shared his thoughts on the announcement, saying:

“The effort and dedication shown by our athletes throughout this selection process and offseason program has been outstanding. Each year, the standard continues to rise, and this group truly reflects the strength of our Performance Pathways Program here in South Australia. I’m incredibly proud of the way our players have approached every opportunity to learn and improve.

For those selected in the U16 and U18 State Teams, this is a well-earned reward for their persistence and commitment. It’s an exciting opportunity to represent South Australia and continue their development on the national stage. We’re looking forward to seeing how they come together and perform at the 2026 Australian Youth Championships.”

This year’s teams showcase an exciting mix of experienced players and emerging talent all ready to wear the South Australian colours with pride and represent the future of our game.
