MESSAGE FROM THE CEO

As we move into August, Baseball SA is entering one of the more important periods of the year, both on and off the field.

Our Intermediate squad has now left for the United States, which is a pretty special moment for the players, coaches and families involved. Getting a team from South Australia to this point takes a huge amount of work behind the scenes, from training and travel planning through to the countless little jobs that come with getting a group overseas. We are incredibly proud of the team and wish them all the best as they represent Adelaide, South Australia and Australia.

At the same time, there is a significant amount of work taking place around our Annual General Meeting, annual reporting, financial audit and planning for the years ahead.

These processes are not always the most visible parts of the sport, but they are essential to ensuring Baseball SA continues to operate properly, transparently and with a clear direction. They also provide an important opportunity to reflect on the year just completed, acknowledge the progress that has been made and identify the areas where we need to keep improving.

This year, that work also includes finalising our next strategic plan, which will help guide Baseball SA over the coming years. The plan is built around strengthening participation, improving pathways, supporting clubs, investing in facilities, developing partnerships, improving communication and ensuring we remain sustainable as an organisation.

None of this happens in isolation. It requires input from our Board, staff, committees, clubs and volunteers across the baseball community. I am grateful for the time and effort so many people continue to put into helping shape the future of our game.

As we look ahead to the 2026/27 season, our focus remains on building a stronger, more connected and more sustainable baseball community across South Australia.
