Four South Australians Selected in 2026 U15 Team Australia World Cup Team

Baseball South Australia is proud to celebrate the selection of four local athletes in the 2026 Team Australia U15 Baseball World Cup roster, following the official announcement of the 19-player national squad.

The squad has been selected based on strong performances over the past 12 months, including displays at the U16 Australian Youth Championships (AYC), ongoing local competitions, and national talent identification programs.

South Australia is proudly represented by:

  • Jack Bowden – Port Adelaide Baseball Club

  • Ollie Breach – Goodwood Baseball Club

  • Seb Watts – Sturt Baseball Club

  • Felix Oliver – Henley & Grange Baseball Club

Their selection highlights the strength and continued growth of South Australia’s junior development pathways, with all four athletes progressing through strong club and state programs.

Baseball SA CEO James Rawson congratulated the athletes on their achievement:

“On behalf of Baseball South Australia, we are incredibly proud to congratulate Jack Bowden, Ollie Breach, Seb Watts and Felix Oliver on their selection in the U15 Australian National Team. This is a fantastic achievement and a great reflection of the hard work each of them has put in. As a state, we will be following closely and cheering them on.”

The WBSC U-15 Baseball World Cup will now be held in Mérida, Mexico from September 25 to October 4, after the tournament was relocated from its originally scheduled host nation of Italy earlier this year.

Before departing for Mexico, the Australian team will complete a five-day training camp in the United States as part of their final preparation phase.

Australia will face some of the strongest baseball nations in the world, including:

  • World No. 1 Japan

  • World No. 2 Chinese Taipei

  • World No. 3 USA

  • World No. 5 Venezuela

  • Host nation Mexico (World No. 6)

  • Plus Cuba, Dominican Republic, Czechia, Germany, Nicaragua and South Africa, all qualified through their regional pathways

The tournament is set to showcase the next generation of international baseball talent on the global stage.

Further information on the tournament can be found via the Baseball Australia website or the official WBSC U-15 Baseball World Cup website.

Baseball South Australia congratulates all selected players, their families, coaches, and clubs on this outstanding achievement and wishes the team every success on the international stage.
