Heritage Committee

Aim

The Baseball South Australia Heritage / History Committee was formed by the Board in 2011, for the purpose of collecting and managing the History and donated Memorabilia of Baseball in South Australia.

Responsibilities

Other responsibilities delegated by the Baseball South Australia Board of Directors have been for the initial recommendations of nominations prior to Board approval for the following:

Baseball SA Life Membership
Baseball Australia Life Membership
Baseball Australia Hall of Fame
Sport SA Hall of Fame
Sport SA Annual Awards

Enquiries and Nominations Forms should be made initially to the Baseball SA General Manager.

The committee meets monthly with members delegated and responsible for the following areas:

Country Baseball
Scorers
Women's Baseball
Umpires
Claxton Shield
Hall of Fame Delegate Historian
Historian
Museum

History

The Committee’s Historian's task is to collate and compile statistics on players and officials (past and present) for areas similar to:

State Team members / Premierships all grades /Medal winners all grades /administration positions/ players signed overseas / players chosen for overseas Australian teams.

Donations/Lodgement of Memorabilia

Donations of Memorabilia showing the History/Heritage of Baseball in South Australia can be lodged at the Offices of Baseball South Australia at Barratt Reserve, West Beach Road, West Beach.
