Jack O'Loughlin's Call Up to AAA

In between his outings, we managed to have a quick chat with South Aussie, Jack O’Loughlin, about his exciting call up to AAA.
O’Loughlin has been hustling in the Detroit Tigers organisation for some years now and is starting to see his hard work come to fruition.
“It has been an unreal experience, I was almost speechless and a little shocked when I found out that I was going to AAA,” say O’Loughlin, despite his great start to the season with his former A+ team, West Michigan Whitecaps.
“I didn’t know anything about what had happened. I would just wake up each day and play baseball,” O’Loughlin said when asked if he knew he was close to being called up.
His hard work continued to show in his results when he stepped on to the mound for the Toledo Mud Hens. In his 5 games played he has already clocked up 22 strikeouts and only allowed 11 earned runs.
As he looks to the future, O’Loughlin says, “(I want) to learn as much as I can from the coaches and other players on the team as so many of them have experience at the highest level.”
With that kind of mentality, we believe he has a bright baseball future ahead and this is a great chance to learn and develop.
