Order of Australia Medal Recipients 2023

We would like to congratulate Daryl 'Sid' Hosking and Peter Dixon on receiving the Order of Australia Medal on the King's Birthday for their services to baseball.
Mr Hosking has been an integral member to the Mt Gambier baseball community and its history. He has served in a variety of roles over his time, and is still very active with his current involvement being:
-Publicity Officer for the Mount Gambier & Districts Baseball League
-Scorer for the Div 3 Central Baseball Club
-Treasure of the Mount Gambier Legends Baseball Club
Mr Dixon has been a fundamental member to the metropolitan baseball community through his involvement with the league office and the Glenelg Baseball Club. He is still currently involved with the Glenelg Baseball Club and spearheads the grounds and maintenance at the club week-in week-out to get the facility in top shape (including helping with our most recent Junior League National Tournament which we were very appreciative of!)
We are also proud to say both of these men are in the Baseball SA Hall of Fame.
