Breakthrough Mental Health Research | Round 13

Published Thu 21 Dec 2023

Baseball SA is thrilled to announce its collaboration with Breakthrough Mental Health Research Foundation for a Community Round in State League Round 13, taking place from January 19th to 21st, 2024.

In past years, Woodville Baseball Club has successfully hosted Breakthrough Rounds, an initiative that has since been embraced by the league. We are excited to bring yet another round to the community for a great cause.

Breakthrough is the first foundation in Australia to focus purely on raising funds for mental health research. Their goal is to fund research that digs into mental illnesses; causes, impacts and preventatives.

Baseball SA is calling on all clubs to actively participate in this initiative in ways that are practical for them during the designated time period. Clubs are encouraged to show their support by wearing purple, organising fundraisers, or sharing educational resources within their communities.

Club administrators have been sent the steps to setup their own fundraising portals through the Breakthrough Community Round website. Once the account is setup, you will have access to a range of downloadable features which are easy to share on your own social media platforms. Upon setting up your profile, Breakthrough will allocate arm tape, which will be distributed to your club closer to the round.

If you club needs assistance with fundraising or setting up your profile, please contact Jade at jspicer@breakthroughfoundation.org.au. Club’s can also order merchandise such as hats and socks for your club through Breakthrough's merchandise page. For bulk orders that contribute to your club's total, reach out to Jade directly.

Thank you for supporting this crucial cause. The holiday season, in particular, can be challenging for some individuals, so we urge everyone to be mindful and look out for each other.
